I found out about Arimaa by reading the wikipedia page about Deep Blue. The game looked interesting and still does. 
Like many others here I play chess, my rating is somewhere between 1900-2000.
Maybe one day I will try to write a bot but right now that seems too much work to me.
P.S: About my profile info: my profile info (e.g. my name) is not 100% correct since I didn't know anything about this site before joining. I already wrote Omar if he would change it but so far I didn't get a reply.
