You may have spotted hanzack, our 2012 world champion in the gameroom recently.

During the WC registration I sent a message to every email I could find for hanzack. After a couple of months he finally replied back and said that he wouldn't be able to play this year due to school and searching for a job.

Then he asked me something that just blew me away. Here it is in his own words:

Lastly I have a question about my hanzack account.
I've been using the name of Tarou Asou but it's not my real name.
I want to fix it to my real name "Hirohumi Takahashi" because I'm going to talk about and advertise arimaa at job interview.

When I started arimaa, I wasn't familiar with English website and didn't trust them but now I know I can trust you and all arimaa players, so I thought I shouldn't have been a lier.

Wow, that's super. I feel honored that our community has been able to gain hanzack's trust. It's also wonderful to see that hanzack feels his Arimaa achievement is something that he wants to showcase to potential employers. Thanks everyone for putting up with hanzack when he was first starting out. Thanks hanzack for choosing to become a closer part of our community. I wish you the best of luck in your job search.

I believe he was studying math or something like that.

I believe being a world champion in a deep, strategic game such as Arimaa is a very nice hat to wear
