Title: Postal games player to move looks incorrect
Post by ocmiente on Apr 12th, 2011, 3:19pm
In the postal games I have against Korhil and 722caasi, the 'My Games' section of my page when I log into the game room indicates that it is my turn to move.  It's been like that for more than a day now.

When I click on my name to open up the game, it doesn't look like it's my move.  It looks like I'm waiting for my opponent to move.

I have the same problem with my 2 games vs Korhil and 722caasi.

Also, both my games vs. 722caasi and my one game vs. Korhil have this same problem.  The clock has been ticking for both of those players for at least a day, even though the gameroom incorrectly indicates that's it's still my turn to move.

I am glad I saw this page-now I can make all of those moves I've been missing out on. I have the same problem against blue22 (both games)

Interesting that the problem was in all cases with the same opponents.

Except for me against blue 22.

This was caused when I ran the program to automatically start the clock on all games a couple hours after the scheduled time of the games. I was supposed to run the program at exactly the scheduled start time. In some games the players had already started the game and submitted the move, so it was silver's turn to move. But after I ran the program, it set a flag to say it was gold's turn to move. This is confusing the client.

If your move and reserve timer is 0s then your game was effected. However, you can go ahead and submit your move and it should be OK.

722caasi moved yesterday, and I responded yesterday.  We might have made a couple of moves yesterday... not sure.

Anyway... The same game shows the same status that it did on Monday.  i.e. that it is my turn to move, but it is actually 722caasi's turn to move.

So I'm wondering if this is going to be a persistent problem with this game.

I'll look into it.
