What Tuks means to say is not that your achievement is too worthless to even mention. Please feel free to post about anything you think is worthy of note.
What Tuks means instead is that the Bot Bashing Hall of Fame restricts itself to recording records for bots that are not changing. For example, if someone crushed bot_bomb when it was in an early developmental stage, it's not fair to compare it to someone trying to beat bot_bomb later when it became the strongest bot around. Because we anticipate that some day bot_SushiNinja may be much stronger than it is at present, but will then still play under the same name, it doesn't make sense to track records for bot_SushiNinja.

I was wondering how the hall of fame deals with bots that change their play when playing unrated games. Surely setting up a record is not the same for the same bot when playing it unrated than playing it rated. The hall of fame does not distinguish between the two .... or does it

Good question Tachyon. I don't think the bot-bashing community has reached a consensus about what to do about bots that play differently when unrated. It makes sense that it is difficult to know what to do, because the motivation behind developers making their bots play differently when unrated is to frustrate a certain type of bot-bashing.
Given that so far the only change is to use a weaker a setup for unrated gmaes, but not play weaker thereafter, my inclination would be to count all records anyway.
