1. Is it possible to pause a running game?
2. How to log out from the game room?

1 you can't

2 just leave the room and it'll log you out.

There is a link in the upper right of the game room to log out. The main reason to log out rather than simply closing the game room and timing out is that no one will invite you to a game thinking you are present only to discover you are absent.
