The dog must go to c1 to prevent defending rabbits from shifting west. The rabbit on c3 must come south to prevent c2 from being blocked. The fourth step must prevent the gold horse from making it to c2 or b2 to defend, but moving the silver elephant to c3 doesn't work because it allows the gold dog on d2 to delay goal.
