Ok now: I am waiting answer something like: 8w Dd2e Me3e Ed5n Ha4e explanation of 8w: Dd2 Me3e - retreat threatened camel + dog eventually Ed5n - threaten to flip our camel Ha4e - finally avoid immediate EH attack to c6 so what to play for us now? My first thoughts are: I) 8b rb7w cc7w md7w ed3n - keeping our E in center to threaten camel pull II) 8b rb7w cc7w md7w ed3s - keeping our E in second line to threaten rabbit pull ====== plus both possibilities prevents to chessandgo's horse to pull the rabbit (by going to a5) - if not willing to be hostages

My first inclination was 8b ed3n Mc4n ed4w xxxx This however seems easily responded to by 9w Mc5w Mb5s Db3s Mb4s I therefore would currently suggest 8b ed3n Mc4s ed4w ec4w. (edit) Actually 8b ed3n Mc4n ed4w ec4w might very well be better.

An aggressor, huh? Instead of retreating he prepares an EM attack... I'd consider 8b md7s ce7e ed3e hg6s with a threat of our EH attack on our left wing.

Let's plan to begin voting Tuesday morning and end Wednesday morning if there are 10 votes and end Wednesday evening otherwise.

| My fresh first look indicates the same move to be the best in this position.

Careful arimaa_master! Fritz and I chose different moves from mdk... The question is, do we want Mc4n or Mc4s? What are the advantages of either?

Looking at the game so far, we have devoted a fair amount of effort to keeping our camel in the centre. Gold's camel is currently out of the centre. Is there a way to take advantage of that? What happens if Silver plays for an attack on the f3 trap? 8b ed3n hg6s hg5s hg4e

regarding jdb's suggestion how would you respond to something like 9w Ed5n Ha4n Ha5n Ha6n? and what about 9w Ed5w Mc4w Mb4n Ha4n? or how about some other moves that threaten swarming? There may very well be better moves than these for chessandgo to play and perfectly good responses to all these moves but i just wanted to throw these possible responses out there for consideration.

| Ouch, sorry, I must be sleepy for sure So I clearly prefer step Mc4n in this move coz by this we still have future threat to taking hostage HIS camel.

After 8b ed3n Mc4n ed4w ec4w, how do we respond to 9w Ed5n Mc5n Ra2n Ha4n? I can't seem to get the M hostage or other advantage. All I get is gold control of c6. Help?
