Bomb2005P2 capture bug

I just reviewed PMertens game against Bomb2005P2 here: http://arimaa.com/arimaa/games/jsShowGame.cgi?gid=39114&s=w and I can't explain moves 85b, 86b, and 110b except as an evaluation or search bug. Why would it not save a cat in the former case, and dog plus rabbit in the latter case, if it can do so? In neither case did it make a threat of its own. I'm at a loss to explain these moves, not to mention a few other weird ones this game.

I think you mean 111, not 110, right? anyway, I think in 85 and 86 they are cases of camel-loss-paranoia (combined with a lack of any better moves, and/or interest in keeping the field balanced. ) for 111, I have no idea either. Maybe it was afraid of losing a rabbit and didn't care about the dog? but it could have lost a rabbit on 110 , not to mention 111 didn't even protect the rabbit. I guess I should just say "I agree, they make no sense."

Yeah, I meant 111b, sorry. Camel loss paranoia is an interesting explanation for 85/86, even though Bomb's camel can't be taken hostage. Perhaps to Bomb the hostage danger doesn't depend on anything such as having all eight rabbits out in front of the camel...
