first off you are way too aggressive with your camel from the start. The bot is able to force you to protect it with your elephant from the start which makes the bots camel the strongest free piece on the board. second you need to protect a little bit better. keeping your pieces from being captured should be top priority at your level. every piece you lose will make your job exponentially harder. before you send each move look at all 4 traps and make sure you can't lose a piece.

Maybe try leading your attack with a horse instead of the camel. Having the elephant take the horse hostage at the beginning is not really a problem once you get the hang of it. Having your camel taken hostage, on the other hand, is much harder to recover from (Though it is possible - one possibility is to try swarming the trap next to the hostaged camel to blockade the opponent's elephant, then rotate your elephant out - but I only mention that in case you want to experiment - it's not the easiest way to go.) There is a Wiki book on Arimaa that has some stuff on the Elephant Horse Attack. You might also try Fritz' book. I think that if you study that book thoroughly, you should be able to beat this bot on a regular basis.
