Are you sure? I think they would like to host an Arimaa competition, but are unable due to a lack of entrants. Perhaps the problem is that we already have a forum for the best programs to play each other right here, so a Arimaa developers don't need to enter the Olympiad to see where they stand.

I thought that this event would make Arimaa more popular, but probably the attention will concentrate on the chess events.
