Greetings all from a total newbie: I'm still hacking it out with the bots and probably will be for a long time (There's no Smiley infinity symbol). I'm still getting thrown by a "Charging Elephant" but I am enjoying every game. I've seen the sets and they are very well done. Kudos on that. And thank you Omar et al. for creating this wonderful game and making it available to everyone.

Greetings. Check out the wikipedia book with tactics and strategy. They are pretty interesting and seemed helpful to me. Also, feel free to ask if you want some pointers on any of your games. I can't promise that my analysis is any good, but I appreciated some of the help when I started as well and would at least be willing to give it a shot. Out of curiosity, did you see the sets in real life? If so, I'm jealous!

Didn't see them in real life, no. But the images online looked quite good. I'll definitely look into the Wiki for Arimaa.

| Judging from past newcomers, it seems to take at least a month of obsessive play to top the bot ladder, but don't let that discourage you from playing humans in the mean time. Bots can teach you not to hang your pieces, but humans can teach you so much more. I hope you keep on having fun!
