Hey guys. I took a bit of a break from Arimaa over the summer, but now I'm back. It's good to see that the Arimaa site was quite active over the summer. Big thanks to Karl, Joel and other senior members of the community for keeping things going. I have a lot of catching up to do and preparing for the upcoming events. I'm looking forward to an exciting world championship season.

Would you be available in coming weekend if someone were to volunteer to commentate on a final-round AWL game? (I'm not sure whether I could be said commentator; I'll have to see how much homework gets slapped on me during the week.)

I thought I was back, but last week and the weekend were pretty hectic for me and I never got a chance to check back. Sorry I missed your message Fritz; and even missed the games.

Is there any chance for us to still have any say over next year's events? For example, I don't know whether you still have any use for a Swiss tournament scheduler, but by making only a few changes to the floating tuple elimination tournament scheduler, I was able to create one that is likewise governed by global priority rules.

Hi aaaa,
That's great. I won't be using the swiss in the WC this year, but I'm sure we will have other tournaments where this would be useful.
