It's been a while since I'm here but I didn't take time to say hello 
I've learnt about Arimaa from BBC article some 1 year ago and it filled quite a lot of time of cold winter nights last year, the nights are longer now again so I'm back.
I don't have a chess background, I was a total novice when I took up arimaa.
It seems that community isn't that big but quite challenging and friendly. Thanks for all the comments some of you put on the games with some interesting pieces of strategic advice.
