This has also been proposed in another thread.  It seems you are single-handedly coming up with all the good suggestions people have made individually over the last year.

I think the bottleneck is partly the coding, and that Omar has lots of other projects on his plate.  I am hoping that once the server code goes open source, all the programmers around here will start contributing and take care of some of the backlog.

There is a thread call "Collection of selected commented games" in which mouse originally proposed a similar idea.

I suggested keeping a "Commented Games" page where
we list games that people want to highlight and I would added links on that page as people nominated games for it
similar to how we do it on the Bot Bashers page.

There hasn't been any nominations yet. But thinking about
this again it might be better if we do it a bit differently.

I'll post on this topic again once I've thought through it.

One thing that would be essential to an anthology is the ability to edit the commentary, perhaps even in collaboration.  It would be much easier to create commentary bit by bit, with the ability to change and extend, rather than having to squeeze out a perfect commentary on the first try.  Also it would tend towards more coherent commentary, rather than patchwork discussion-style commentary where additions and corrections come afterwards in semi-random order.

I guess in short I'm proposing a commentary Wiki.

I've added a Games page now which can serve as a starting point for exploring featured and commented games. It also has links to the games archive and some tools. There is a link to it in the navigation bar of the main Arimaa page. Or you can get to it directly with this url:
  http://airmaa.com/arimaa/games/

From this page we can link into a Wiki for commented games like Karl described.

Any suggestions for what Wiki package to use? I would perfer something that is open source.

I've previously considered the idea of having commentary in the chat area, but it's not so easy to add that. Also I think its better to be able to read all the comments (which may even be threads) independent of the position being viewed.
