Server doesn't like a bot playing itself

I started a game with bot_testbot playing itself and from the perspective of the bots everything ran fine. But the game never showed up in the gameroom under live games. I could go directly to the game viewer url and view the game fine as well. At the conclusion of the game the server wouldn't give a permanent id for the game, it did not show up in any recent game list and seems to have disappeared completely. The temporary id for the game was 320950 and the permanent id should have been assigned after permanent id 250488. Janzert

Games between the one player and the same player are never saved regardless of the type of player involved. Human players joining their own open games from the gameroom receive a warning indicating this: Quote:Games played against yourself are not saved or counted in your stats. Do you want to play against your self? |

And if the testbot plays just to test server is OK, not saving the games could be good choice ...

Ahh, thanks for the info clyring. on Nov 25th, 2012, 5:55pm, Hippo wrote:And if the testbot plays just to test server is OK, not saving the games could be good choice ... |
| Except that the whole point of the game is to leave a public record on whether the server was operational or not. So not leaving a record on the server at all is rather contrary to the matter. :} Janzert
