Just wanted to let the Arimaa community know that I've taken a new job at Yahoo. It is going to be a little hard for me to keep up with my postal games and the forum as I work on trying to get relocated and also get up to speed in the new position. So if there is something that needs my input, please let me know via the 'Contact' link. Thanks.

Transitions always eat up time and energy, but I hope it turns out to be a good new opportunity for you. In addition, I'm sure that from inside the company you will figure out how to get Yahoo to sponsor Arimaa.

Here's hoping Yahoo appreciates how lucky they are to have you. My dad knew a wizard who tried to infiltrate the muggles there. He got sacked when he tried to get the search engine to turn the user's keyboard into a portkey. The idea was for muggle users to search mapquest for where they want to go. Well, on the first test one of the cube dwellers was surfing porn. Very embarrassing consequences.

Good luck, Omar. If you need some assistance with the Arimaa site or gameroom while you're busy with the transition, drop me a line; I'd be willing to pitch in.

Yes it really is a great place to work. They let you define your own job title. I've chosen mine to be "Chief Innovation Officer" Im finding out now that Yahoo has so many features I didn't know about. For example I didn't know Yahoo had a search page that looked so similar to Googles http://search.yahoo.com/ or that they had a page that tells the public what Beta's they are working on: http://next.yahoo.com/ Yahoo is great at hiding cool stuff
