Fast/easy/no effort bot

I just started to learn programing. Of course my goal is to program strongest bot in the universe. Please reply on how to program such a bot in fast/easy/almost no effort way. So far programing seems terribly difficult - but there must be a shortcut. I am able to grasp at most 5 steps PS: I believe in P=NP

Well I hope you are joking, it takes years to get to the level where you can START making "the strongest bot in the universe". Maybe months if you're a genius and work really hard. The fastest way would be to download and understand a sample bot and start tweaking things.

Not to dis the local favorite, but you will learn much faster if you start with a problem that is more tractable than Arimaa. I would pick a relatively simple game for which there are already strong programs to compare yourself against, such as Lines of Action or Othello.

Yes, the short cut to a strong Arimaa bot is someone else's code. But learning to program via modifying someone else's Arimaa bot is a long long long cut.

Well someday when a bot is developed that learns from the games that it plays, non-programmers will be able to get involved with training such bots. You could avoid the programming, but still it would be quite time consuming and computer resource intensive to train such a bot. No free lunch
