Plan window

Probably I am missing something obvious, but:
How do I enter a 3-step move in a plan window? It just keeps offering the arrows to complete the 4th step. 
How do I step back a few moves and try a new line in the same window?
How do I reenter the move if I misclick something? Must I start a new plan window and reenter all the 10 moves sequence, if I misclick the 11th?

On the left side of the plan window are either nine or ten buttons.
When there are nine buttons, you simply click the "Exp off"-button.
Now the expert mode is turned on.
To enter a 3-step move you click the "pass"-button after you made your3-step move.
To step back you can use the "U<"-button to undo a step and the "U<<"-button to undo a move.
You can invert the board by clicking the "Vw","Vn" or "Vb"-button.
