Qualifying Games

  Prize Fund

Event: The 2014 Arimaa World Computer Championship tournament will determine the best computer Arimaa player. The top two finishers will compete for the rights to play in the Arimaa Challenge match (see tournament rules for details).

Prizes: The winner will receive an official Arimaa World Computer Champion certificate. All participants will receive a cash prize for each game they win in the tournament. See tournament rules for details.

Format: A qualifying phase to select the top 8 performers followed by a floating quad elimination tournament. See tournament rules for details.

When: The qualifying phase will begin 7PM EST Jan 1, 2014 and end 7PM EST Feb 1, 2014. The finals will begin on 7AM EST Mar 1, 2014 and finish by 7PM EST Mar 15, 2014. See tournament rules for details.

Where: The games will be played over the Internet in the Arimaa gameroom.

Registration: This tournament is open to all bot developers. Interested developers should register as soon as possible to identify themselves and the name of the bot they will be registering. Only one bot is allowed per developer or development team. There is a registration fee of $10 USD which is added to the prize fund. See tournament rules for registration dates.

Penalty There is a penalty of $20 USD which must be paid if you break any of the qualifying phase rules or do not upload your bot before the deadline if you qualify.
