http://arimaa.com/arimaa/gameroom/comments.cgi?gid=179726 I made quite a lot of mistakes there. Any pointing out would be nice! Swynndla said I could have gotten his camel but I do not see it yet.

You did fine for someone who just started playing a couple of days or so ago. In the opening, when I tried dragging your horse, you defended very nicely by harassing my camel and then you were able to move your horse back - nice. The time-limit was a bit fast for both of us, and we both made mistakes. You dropped your horse early on. Move 10s you can get my camel in four steps (one move) - see if you can figure it out. I personally think bringing your camel out too early is a mistake, and it should be kept back. Let your elephant do the romping and don't let your camel be bullied by the enemy's elephant. I was able to successfully take your camel as hostage, tying down your elephant and camel. You could have tried storming pieces down the east side until my elephant was trapped, or until your elephant could be replaced by minor pieces around the trap (or you filled in the trap) and then your elephant could run away causing destruction, while my elephant would be out of play. So I think you could have started moving down rabbits and other pieces. You started doing that, but not enough. Hope that helps!

OH! Ok I didn't know you were referring to 10s! If I got the camel, I would have your elephant tied all so tightly to F3. Then if I get to move to E3, then I'll be able to move up like crazy until I made a mistake. 2g | | 2s | | 3g | | 3s | | 4g | | 4s | | 5g | | 5s | | 6g | | 6s | Camel out too early | 7g | Horse got bullied, made camel harder to protect. | 7s | Didn't see capture move, moved camel up | 8g | Horse got captured, camel is very threatened | 8s | | 9g | Shouldn't have let camel get caught. Run back home may have been better | 9s | | 10g | | 10s | Maybe not the best move... Could have started trying my luck on the east side with my elephant right next to C3 | 11g | | 11s | Shouldn't have used last move on rabbit but should have occupied the F3 trap. Only danger of framing? The horse all the way on the other side. | 12g | | 12s | | 13g | Start preparing for freeing horses to capture *a* trap. I saw this but didn't do much about it, mainly due to time issues. Low on time means I can't think of a way to stop it fast enough. | 13s | | 14g | | 14s | | 15g | | 15s | | 16g | | 16s | | 17g | | 17s | | 18g | | 18s | | 19g | | 19s | LET GO OF F3 TRAP! I don't even know why I did that!!! | 20g | Hopeless game from here on. Decided to simply try my luck in goaling but I knew I lost and won't be fast enough. | ... | | 28g | Gold won by goal (blunder on my part didn't see the goal) | At least I delayed it by 8 moves. Could have done better. A lot better.
