I considered very short 20s mf4s Rg3e mf3e re8w, maybe I should have played it.

And 21s hb6s hb5s hb4s re7s was a better choice, I think.

27s hf1e hg1w Rh1w ra7s was my first thought.

Any advice for 27s and other moves/strategies?

9s: capture cat + mg4
12s: i dont like rh5. with 13g gold could pull rg4+Rh4 and you have no more counterplay with m attacking hg3.
20s: i like your suggestion more than game line.
21s: yes of course there was no need to give the dog away
27s: my 1st thought is mg6 Hh6 ra5
34s: it was better to push the Hh8 through f8 into f6, this way E cant attack m so easily. This should have ended up in free horse win.
36s: hb6-->b3 + ra6 was better. As gold has accumulated lots of pieces in the east, you should stop advancing there, and switch to attacking gold's weakest side.
43s-47s: horse to c2!

9s: Wouldn't that (also) cause a horse frame?
About 12s, you are right, I didn't see that. I could then only pull a rabbit, very carefully.

20s: What could be a good strategy after getting my camel on g3? Only what I can think is pushing the Horse to north to try to capture it.

I was waiting for the right time to get my horse to c2 and that was not good  Sad

Thank you for your analysis Boo.

edit:
Hmmm 31s hg1n Rh1w Rg1w hg2s,
preventing the Camel taking my horse hostage and making a goal threat.

9s: You will break the frame with 10s rh5s mg4n Hg3n hf3e. That's why you need mg4.
20s: hm today i don't like mg3, you are right, that m should push H towards f6, so mg3 is only a waste of time.
43s-47s: and what conditions should be met for you to know that the "right time" has come? Smiley

I'm pretty new to the game, but I'm not sure what the big deal is about the horse frame after 12g.  From my view, it works to your advantage since you have E+H tying up his E+M+H.  I think at this point I'd leave that corner alone, move my camel over toward the C6 trap, and then send my horse up to pull down some rabbits from the A/B/C files.

Is that not a reasonable strategy?

I guess he can re-establish the frame while freeing his camel after a few moves, but particularly against a bot, I'm not sure I'd worry about that very much.

The problem is indeed that gold can rotate out his elephant and/or camel and replace it with a horse and/or weaker pieces. After that the Elephant can try to chase the opposing camel while the other Elephant has to stay put.

While bots sometimes don´t rotate pieces out, it is nevertheless important to prevent such situations. If you want to succeed in the long run you should try to play as if your opponent would respond with optimal moves.
