Annotated games?

Is there any interest in annotating any more games? Specifically, I would be interested in seeing a game annotated in which a human defeats bot_Sharp2011CC, since that seems to be the strongest bot at this time.

Perhaps this game could be annotated while it is still fresh in the minds of the players? I have been studying chessandgo's games, since he is still by most indications the best there is.

Yeah, that's an interesting game. What if on 18g Ronweasley had brought the M to f3 instead of taking the cat?

Yes, it was nice to watch this game. Was Ned winning in the midgame or was Jean winning whole the game? What was the players evaluation?

16g I don't understand why Gold didn't capture the cat on c7. And what was the point of 24g? Gold moved the rabbit from a2 to c4, where it got captured in a few turns, instead of capturing rabbit f8 with a Horse. After rabbit trade in move 27 I would prefer Silver's position, because they have long-lasting initiative constantly creating goal threats, and Hf7+Df5 are just sitting and have nothing to threaten. Horse on g3 plays a key role in that position. Quote:Yeah, that's an interesting game. What if on 18g Ronweasley had brought the M to f3 instead of taking the cat? |
| Yeah, good point. I think that could have created lots of troubles for Silver.

| My theory is that Ned was ahead before his blunder on 18g. Quote:16g I don't understand why Gold didn't capture the cat on c7. |
| It would let silver take control of f3 wth a move like 16s de4s de3s Rf2s Rf3x de2e which I think would lead to a race favouring silver.

| Yes sure this would be cat for at least several rabbits. At 18g I don't know what position I would prefer it's cat for two rabbits with silver having strong attack on f3. The gold a file goal attack made(could made) the position interesting. But silver could advance his a file rabbits to counter it. May be 18g Ra5 rather than capturing cat?

| It is not so clear I think. Gold can respond moving the dog and rabbit away from the lost trap with 17g Rh2n Dg2e Rh3n Rb2n thus leaving one rabbit f1 vulnerable, and Gold threatens to capture 2 rabbits (a6 and c8 ).

I think silver has a pretty strong advantage after your 17g, as silver can easily advance a rabbit to get a good goal threat whereas it will be slower for gold to advance a rabbit. edit: I mean of course advance a rabbit towards a taken-over trap. it doesn't count if you advance a rabbit to a trap still controlled by the other side.

I just found this thread. I have been very busy elsewhere, protecting the land from dark magic and all. I can't give you much insight into this game as my goal for the Owl Mixer was to finish all games without timeing out. Against chessandgo, I chose moves at first to slow down his inevitable attack. I was surprised to find I had counterplay. Yes, on 18g I didn't expect silver's reply. Looking back at it, I like the suggestion of moving the M to f3 to stop the attack there. After 18s my strategy was simply to keep the gold H and D from being captured. Being down by four Rs, I had a very thin defense which didn't give me a chance to make more threats. For annotated games, look for Owl Mixer games from one or two years ago. Look for games with 3 or more comments on them and you may find annotations given there. Fritz usually did his but look at other top players too.

I realize this is a necropost, but how should I go about browsing these postal games? I tried looking under "Postal Games" and "Archived Games" but I got nowhere. The reason I'm asking is that I'm analysing my games right now. Thus, I'm very much interested in reading the deliberations of good players so that I know what strategic elements to look for. So far I've only found links to a few precious annotated games on the Wikibook.
