Since it looks like the Atlantics need more players, I will be switching over. Being in Dallas, I'm right on the borderline anyways Smiley

Yep, we get a point as long as you play the game.  Welcome to the team.  Smiley

Greetings team!

Big match coming up next week against the formidable Team Europa!  But we're good too, so it should be a good one.

I sent an instant message to all of the team members regarding our lineup and requesting your level of interest in playing.  Since we don't want to tip off our opponent as to who's likely to play, please let me know your level of interest either through the instant message feature of this forum or by sending me an e-mail at CPBovee@charter.net.

Thanks!

The talking is finally over, and the fighting can begin.  Yay!  I see that Europa outspent us, so we will simply have to outplay them.  Go Rockies!

Looks like I got to the party too late, so all the support I can give right now is of the moral variety.

(Also, I don't know what my schedule is going to be like in the near future.  I may end up relocating to a job where I don't have enough free time...or reliable Internet access.)

Go Rockies!

Welcome to the Rockies tfitzgib!

No, you're definitely not too late in joining.  We're just starting the first of six rounds.  If your schedule works out OK, it would be great to have you as a potential player in the future rounds.  It looks like your budget value will start at a very nice 1500, which is 420 points under the base value of 1920.

Thanks for the moral support already!

Reporting my win! http://arimaa.com/arimaa/games/jsShowGame.cgi?gid=142423&s=w

Features an interesting camel frame and elephant blockade Smiley.

Interesting position on 14g. Gold could have sacked his camel for a horse and a camel capture threat.

Well done, FireBorn!  And valiant effort, Hirocon!  It's not easy to score a free horse from a tight defensive player like woh.  My geographic patriotism was getting all fired up there when it looked like we were going to start 2-0.  Smiley

Congratulations FireBorn and good efforts Hirocon and camelback!  After Round 1 our position looks pretty good: 2 points behind, but 375 points under budget.

Next up is the Ring of Fire.  I'll send private messages to the team to work out roster possibilities after the ratings are set for round 2.

Hi 722caasi,

In case you haven't seen your personal messages, you are scheduled to play Knarl this week.  If you haven't already done so, you need to select your preferred times before 5 pm today, your time.  This can be done by first clicking on the "Register" link in the "Announcements" section of the Gameroom and then clicking on "select the times".

If you have already done this, Great!  You're all set.  But, if you're not available to set your preferred time at this late hour, we'll need to get a substitute player.

Sorry about not reaching you sooner on your game.  If you don't see this in time, I hope you can get to play in some of the later rounds.

Thanks!

Thanks a lot. Seriously, we should have a (more?) blitz tournaments. I always move more quickly than I should, but in this game I was lucky not to have any disasters. I hope the rest of the team wins too.
