ups ... well somehow real life indeed got the best of me the last few weeks again ... and I indeed do have small children.
take me up at somewhere around 50% ... just make sure I really did read my email Wink

and good luck to all the more active players

(and by actually trying to understand the rules here I might be a bit costly since my rating is high but my training-level is low due to rare playing ... so I guess you won't be tempted to overuse me anyway Wink )

Hi there! Hi Captain!
If you need one more player I'm ready about 66% when I fight back my phobia of clocks and calendars Smiley
My rating is probably overestimated due to the rating drift that I imagine happened during the two years I didn't play.
But I'll do my best!

All right, Team Europa.  You might think that with one win in the last six games, last place in the standings, and most ratings points spent, that we're just beaten down and ready to give up.  Some of you may say that this league is over for us.  To which I say:

We have them EXACTLY where we want them!

An extra tick of the clock here, a missed move there, and throw in a server crash or two, and we're in first place right now.  We're so close to the top, we might as well be tied for the lead.  Sure we've got some ground to make up, but this is the kind of situation that requires an absolutely futile and stupid gesture be done on someone's part.

And we're just the guys to do it.

So if you're ready to show the league that there's a reason that Europe has never lost a war, let me know that you're ready to play, and let's just win this whole d**n
 thing.

Who's with meHuh

Not sure if it's the right place to write that, but here it goes: I'll be unavailable during the whole weekend of July 3. I hope announcing it a month in advance is enough time. Please let me know if it's ok.

"Over?  Did you say over?  NOTHING is over until we say it is!  Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?  Hell, no!"

I would just like to point out that it is still possible for Europa to take a clear first place in the league, without even relying on a tiebreaker.  We're playing the #1 team, which means when we sweep them, all four teams could be within 3 points of each other going into the final week.

Arimaa is all about fighting it out until the bitter end, because you just never know what'll happen, so why should the World League be any different?

After my ISP upgraded the lines in the district, my connection is now worse than ever before Sad
I have to give up my participation in the AWL for fear that I would time out since the cuts are most frequent on the week ends...
Sorry Sad But I'm supporting the team!!!!!!

Edit: I can't find an unregister button in the gameroom page for the AWL, but anyway my name mysteriously disappeared from the list some time after I registered two weeks ago, so I guess I don't need to update anything?

Due to an error by the tournament co-ordinator (me) most players have been deleted from current League registration. Don't panic! Everything from the previous rounds is still there, and it doesn't look as if we haven't lost anybody's scheduler settings either. We just need to re-register you.

Therefore please could everybody check to make sure they are registered by clicking "Register" under Announcements in the gameroom. (There shouldn't be a problem with the scheduler settings but it's still worth checking that too.)

Thank you for your patience, my apologies.

Megajester accidently unregistered you already. No need to do anything more.
